Thoughts

Hello Dad....well here we are, a year on since we said goodbye. We went to the Hilden Manor today for lunch to remember you and share the day with much love and a bit of laughter. Mum and I were suitably late.....and laughed at the thought that you would have arrived early....got a little grumpy that we weren't on time....and then would have smiled your biggest and best smile as we walked in! We are all there apart from Immy, who had spent the weekend with Alex at Manchester University to see if she'd like to go there. We all miss you, Pa...and love you with all our hearts. ps we lost the rugby world cup :( …..we didn't show up and South Africa played their one and only decent match of the whole tournament. I won't talk Tottenham at the moment...it's not pretty....and you'd get annoyed! Love you Pops xxx

Hi Dad....well, England beat New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup semi-final in Japan last weekend!Unfortunately, your Wales team lost to South Africa in their semi-final. So, tomorrow we'll be watching the third place match between New Zealand and Wales. I guess you'd have wanted Wales to win...but if they don't, you'll be happy for your brothers and all the family in New Zealand! And then on Saturday it's the big one...England v South Africa. I wonder if it'll be as exciting as the one we watched together in my home in Hildenborough….when Mum spent most of the match pacing in the garden! How I wish you were here to watch it with us. Lots of love, Bong xx

We're all thinking of you today, Dad....on your birthday. And we all miss you terribly. Once Rick gets back from Germany, we'll all be getting together for supper, to remember you and hopefully have a smile or two (probably at your expense....no change there!). You've missed quite a bit since you left....we (Spurs) made it to the Champions league Cup Final and England are the One Day Cricket World Cup Champions 2019! COYS! 28/8/2019
